Dessert
Crème brûlée is a dessert consisting of custard topped with a contrasting layer of hard burnt sugar.
Ingredients:
6 Egg yolks
6 Tablespoons of white sugar (Divide them into bowls)
½ Tablespoon vanilla extract
2 + ½ cups of vanilla cream
2 Tablespoons of brown sugar
Tools:
Handheld mixer
Oven
Mixing Bowl
Saucepan
Refrigerator
Small Bowl
Kitchen Torch
Instructions:
Preheat oven to 300 degrees F.
Beat together egg yolks, 4 tablespoons of white sugar and vanilla extract in a mixing bowl until thick and creamy.
Pour cream into a saucepan and stir over low heat until it almost comes to boil. Remove the cream from heat immediately. Stir cream into the egg yolk mixture; beat until combined.
Pour cream mixture into the top pan of a double boiler. Stir over simmering water until mixture lightly coats the back of a spoon, about 3 minutes. Remove mixture from heat immediately and pour into a shallow heatproof dish.
Bake in preheated oven for 30 minutes. Remove from oven and cool to room temperature. Refrigerate for at least 1 hour or overnight.
Sprinkle sugar on the surface of the custard. This layer of sugar should cover most of the custard.
Get a kitchen torch, and slowly torch the surface of the creme brulee until the sugar has melted

Review(s):
Creme brulee is an amazing food if done right. Even if baked subpar, the results are still deliciously satisfying. The soft custard absolutely contrasts with the burned sugar layer on the top.
In fact, it was so sweet, I almost passed out at the end.
